The what i learned about the 300 joint lol
The reason me for to do an blog on the Spartans and the movie "300' was because I watch the it was an great movie and it caught my eye because of the Spartans way and my bravery and to defend their country no matter what and no one was left behind they all work as one if one is weak then all is weak so I like that about the Spartans I liked their fighting skills. but we I was the movie and at the end the Spartans lost the battle but before they lost the battle king leonidas probably knew they wasn’t going to win but all he wanted to do was to let king xerxes know even a god king can bleed and he didn’t have soldiers that were immortal but before that he told one of his soldiers to stay behind and he wanted the one soldier to tell the tell of what happen and to get more Spartans to bring to defeat the Persian so when that happen he told the Spartan village what happen and they had more Spartans to take on the Persian so after the movie was over I was thinking I wondering did the Spartans ever won the war so that made me want to do and blog on this subject another thing I learn was how to make an blog I didn’t know anything about an blog so Mr. shakur help me with using the blog and gave me steps to take to make an blog and friends help me too and the research I got for this subject was very helpful to knowing about the Spartans was because of the violence and the history about it I love history and the action the Spartans had. The Spartans was one of the strongest army their ever was they fought for their country by any means they trusted in one another and wont let no one get hurt. Profile
In 480 BC, the ambitious cruel and merciless King Xerxes (David Farrar) of Persia invades Greece with his huge army to extend his a slave empire. The brave Spartan army is the great hope to free and unite Greece and Ling Leonidas (Richard Egan) promises to the council of the Greek Stats to defend the passage of Thermopylae the only way by land to reach Athens. However he is betrayed by the politicians of Sparta and stays alone with his personal body guard army composed of three hundred warriors only. Using courage and great knowledge of strategies of war, he defends Thermopylae until a treacherous goatherd tells King Xerxes a secret goat passage leading to the back of Leonidas's army. After days of fighting, Xerxes grows angry as his army is "slaughtered like sheep" by the Greeks, with the Spartans in the forefront. Leonidas further pressures his men after receiving word that the remainder of the Spartan army will only fortify the isthmus in the Peloponnese and will advance no further. The Greeks constantly beat off the Persians, and Xerxes begins to consider withdrawing to Sardis until he can equip a larger force at a later date. Just then, he receives word from Ephialtess of a goat-track through the mountains. Rewarding Ephialtes greatly, Xerxes sends his army onward
Once Leonidas realizes this, he sends away the Greek allies to alert the cities to the south. Being too few to hold the pass, the Spartans instead attack the Persian front where Xerxes is nearby. Leonidas is killed in the meleƩ. Meanwhile the Thespians, who had refused to leave, are overwhelmed while defending the rear. Surrounded, the surviving Spartans refuse to leave Leonidas' body and are annihilated by arrow fire. After this, narration states that the Battle of Salamis and the Battle of Platea end the Persian invasion, which could not have been organized without the help of the 300 Spartans who defied the tyranny of Xerxes at Thermopylae. One of the final images of the film is the memorial bearing the epigram of Simonides of Ceos, which is recited

The history of the Persian war took place at Thermopylae and also known as the hot gates during 480 B.C. the Persian ships had sailed along the coastline from northern Greece into the Gulf of Malia on the eastern Aegean Sea towards mountains at Thermopylae. The Spartans had fought the Persian soldier in a narrow pathway that controlled the only road between Thessaly and Central Greece. King leondias had one worry about the pathway and he was hoping that the Persians soldier that didn’t find a back way to attack the Spartans from behind. From a strategic point of view by defending Thermopylae the Allies were making the best possible use of their forces As long as they could prevent further Persian advance into Greece they had no requirement to seek a decisive battle and could thus remain on the defensive. Moreover by defending two constricted passages As long as they could prevent further Persian advance into Greece, they had no requirement to seek a decisive battle, and could thus remain on the defensive. Moreover by defending two constricted passages Thermopylae for the Persians the problem of supplying such a large army meant that the Persians could not remain in the same place for too long The Persians must therefore retreat or advance and advancing required the pass of Thermopylae and their numbers won’t matter and the Spartans plan was working until this creature of some sort he had wanted to help with the Spartans for the battle against the Persian but when the creature had ask king leondias could he help with battle but he was turned down cause he wasn’t able to protect from neck to thigh so the creature had got mad and thought his family had lead him wrong cause he want to be an Spartans and wanted to help so he went to the Persian to help beat the Spartans…… TO BE CONTUINED

Personal Reflection
I Patrick streeter chose to do this project about the Spartans was because of the violence and the history about it I love history and the action the Spartans had. The Spartans was one of the strongest army their ever was they fought for their country by any means they trusted in one another and wont let no one get hurt. But it was interested by how when the Spartans mothers have a baby they would the babies to this man or god and he would look and examine their babies to see were they worthy of being a Spartan solider and if they wasn’t they would dispose of the baby that really caught my attention because that was crazy to me and also I wanted too find out more about what happen after the first war when king leonidas only took 300 of his finest solider to war to fight against king xerxes and I wanted to find out what happen after the first war I really want to find because I wanted to Spartans to win the fight and I like how they respect one other and they have a great understandings about each other and know how each other weakness and strengths I know it took a lot of training together because if one person mess up the whole army will mess up but they was so together their were few mistake I feel that the only reason they lost was because king leonidas just wanted to prove a point to king xerxes that he also bleed and king leonidas was smart to send one person back from the war to tell the story and gather up all the soldiers in Sparta to fight the war and one thing about the Spartans they never back down from a fight or they never retrieve from BATTLE

What i know about the Spartan
The things I know about the 300 Spartans that fought in a war against the Persian and king leonidas he was the leader of the Spartans and the Spartans are descended of Hercules and as a newborn baby they look at the baby to see if the baby is weak and or if the baby is worthy for being an Spartans and if the baby is the worthy the will throw the baby out and it took place in 480 BC during that time they was threaten by the Persian an army of a hundred of thousands and king leonidas had an goal since the great king xerxes wanted to threaten the Spartans so he wanted to make an god king bleed. and king leonidas had just took 300 Spartans to war with him and the battle took place called Thermopylae because it would narrow the numbers of the Persian army it was working until this creature had wanted to be an Spartans and king leonidas had told him told the creature that he would be worthy because he wasn’t able to protect other solider from the thigh to neck but king leonidas did tell the creature that he could bring the solider water and stuff.... but before an young Spartans reaches manhood he has to kill a slave... king xerxes fleet of Persian ships had sailed along the coastline from northern Greece into gulf of mail on the eastern Aegean sea towards the mountains at Thermopylae and after their offer of free passage to the Greeks defendant was refused they attacked on the 50th day and on the forty eight hours the defeating not just the poorly trained sent something that I would like to know did the Spartans ever defeated the Persian army and how many Spartan had the next time they battled the Spartans cause I remember that it was only one Spartans that survived the battle between the Persian and the Spartans
